About The Little Prince

Specialist psychiatric care focused on the individual

The Little Prince Treatment Centre provides psychiatric assessment, treatment and follow-up care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

The clinic is led by consultant psychiatrist Davor Mucić and combines personal contact with the possibilities offered by digital psychiatry and telepsychiatry.

About Davor Mucić

Specialist in Psychiatry

Davor Mucić is a specialist in psychiatry with more than 20 years of clinical and academic experience in Denmark and internationally. He graduated in medicine from the University of Rijeka, Croatia, and completed his specialist training in psychiatry in Denmark.

In 2000, he founded The Little Prince Treatment Centre in Copenhagen. Alongside his work at the centre, he has worked in psychiatric services in Denmark and Sweden.

Davor Mucić has been among the pioneers of telepsychiatry and digital mental health. His work has focused particularly on making psychiatric treatment more accessible across geographical, linguistic and cultural boundaries. Among other initiatives, he has developed and implemented models of transcultural telepsychiatry in Denmark and internationally.

He currently serves as Chair of the Digital Mental Health Section of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA) and has contributed to international professional guidelines, research and education in telepsychiatry and digital psychiatry.

At The Little Prince Treatment Centre, he emphasises an individual approach, with thorough psychiatric assessment, personal contact and continuity of care as central elements.

Digital consultations are used when clinically appropriate, while in-person appointments are prioritised when they best meet the patient’s needs.

Treatment Tailored to the Individual

Two people with similar symptoms may have very different needs.

A course of psychiatric treatment therefore begins with an assessment of the patient’s current situation, previous treatment, symptoms, sources of stress and how these difficulties affect everyday life.

Based on this assessment, the most appropriate treatment is determined.

Treatment may include:

  • Psychiatric assessment

  • Talking therapy

  • Medication

  • Psychoeducation

  • Follow-up and adjustment of existing treatment

In Person When Best. Digital When Appropriate.

Digital psychiatry is not about replacing personal contact.

It is about using digital solutions when they can make psychiatric treatment more flexible and accessible, while choosing in-person consultations when clinically necessary or simply the best option.

A course of treatment may therefore be:

In person · Online · Or a combination of both

Psychiatric Treatment in Multiple Languages

Good communication is an important part of psychiatric treatment.

The clinic has experience working with patients from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds and offers consultations in several languages in addition to Danish and English.

Where possible and clinically appropriate, psychiatric assessment and treatment can therefore take place without the need for an interpreter.
